Hello world,
We have been rather silent since we returned from Europe, and a bit slow on getting some documentation up from that trip. It finally is, and you can check out some pictures from the tour here:

To view the pictures full size, check the
Flickr.
We have also been silent on updating everyone about the full length. That’s because its fate continues to be elusive. We are still working on it getting mastered, and versions of it will soon be available to you.
We are also continuing to write new music, and as per (poor) usual, we are having trouble being able to afford putting to tape everything we create. We have written two entirely new pieces since we have returned, along with a plethora of other material yet to see a release. One thing is for sure, it will happen with time. We have two shows planned at the end of October, and will update you on those when the time comes near. We are very excited about working to become a busy entity again, and our touring plans and new releases will surface very soon.
Love you all.
Post Script: We have joined Facebook as another way to interact with everyone. Please go add our page and share it!

I say this everytime, but it’s because we are some slack bastards. It’s been awhile, and we have been busy.
We are gearing up for our full US tour for the month of April, and trying to get scrape enough together to make our way to Europe in July. That’s right, we will be joining our good friends in City of Ships for almost 5 weeks on the greener side of of the world (in all respects) starting in July. More info on this very soon!
In release news, the full length is STILL being worked on. It was initially recorded in january of 2008, we entered back into the studio to get it done in January of 2009, and here we are in April still waiting on it. Soon though. Promise. Or not.
On the other hand, Bloom, our very limited 10″ release featuring 2 pieces of music written by us in a weird state of living is coming along. 300 are being pressed as we speak.
Other things being worked on are some cassette releases, and more music. If only we had enough money to keep up with the amount of material we write. One day. Or not.
On a different note, and regarding to bands that actually seem to have their shit together, a few of us went out to a Pygmy Lush show the other night. Absolutely stellar in every way. Look them up, buy their album, download it, share it, eat pizza to it, and go see them when they come through your town. Seriously.
Come see us on tour.
Cheers

Turboslut rules too! They have a split record. Anyway.
Keep checking back for updates during tour, we will be updating this as a tour blog of sorts with news and stories and pictures (Zac don’t sell your camera yet?).
In addition to the April tour, it looks like we may be touring the northeast in mid-May as well, definite info on that soon.
New pictures up in the media section!

*** PREVIOUS NEWS ***
It has been a while since we updated anything, but with good reason. We have been keeping very busy. A quick rundown of new things:
-We have finished tracking material that will be released on a very limited quantity 10″ by The End Records, tracked in NC in a church sanctuary with engineer Drew Fulk. The 10″ is comprised of two pieces equaling 29 minutes of material. More information will be released about this very soon.
-To avoid inevitable legal repercussions, we have decided to stop using the name
Giant.
Brave Young will be the name we now collectively function under. Nothing is changing, we are still the same band, but this has been a long time coming, and we are finally confident enough to go forward with it. It’s only a name.
-Thanks to our very own Benjamin (grandma beonm beonm), we will finally have our very own website. We will be updating this more than our myspace, so make sure to keep checking back for new things.
-Expect to see us near you in 2009. We are planning on touring as much as possible for poor people to tour. We don’t make money on tour, in fact, we spend it to be able to, and this often puts us in the precarious position of having to make money and tour, but hopefully we will be able to tread this delicate line enough to make sure we play out more than ever.
